Choosing a Uniformed Public Services course at Nottingham College could lead to an exhilarating career in the Armed Forces, Emergency Services, Security or Prison Services. 

You’ll get a brilliant all-round grasp of the skills and discipline you’ll need to enter these challenging but rewarding professions. 

You’ll find tutors with years of experience of working in public services and the Armed Forces, who are passionate about supporting you to reach your career goals. 

These courses focus on active learning, so you’ll develop practical skills such as orienteering, while improving your personal fitness and taking part in rewarding community work. 

We also offer exciting hands-on experiences alongside your learning. Recent examples have included: Police riot training and public order training; Police role play; training with the Army; visits to fire stations and a wide range of outdoor and adventure training. 

Each year our Public Services students lead on our Poppy Appeal, raising funds for the Royal British Legion, as well as taking part in sponsored adventure activities. 

You can also join the College’s Sport Academies to help improve your fitness.

Careers within the armed forces, emergency services, security or prison services are becoming more and more popular and in demand. So, at Nottingham College we do all we can to ensure that we train all of our students to be fully equip to thrive in the ever-growing and challenging professions.
