Campus Description

Our Highfields campus is the home to our engineering and electrical courses.

This is quite fitting seeing as it is located in the heart of the Nottingham Science Park and on the edge of the University of Nottingham campus which has an international reputation for engineering.

It’s a modern centre with huge, industrial size manufacturing, lathe and milling workshops, robotic machinery, fabrication and sheet metal workshops, electrical training bays, CAD and other design software on high end PCs, 3D printers and other design and manufacturing machinery, as well as a popular café/refectory, student communal spaces and a well-stocked library and learning resource centre.

The campus sits on the edge of a nature reserve and rain water is harvested on the site and released into the reed beds on the nature reserve, in order to reduce water waste.

There’s parking on site and the tram runs right outside, as well as major bus routes connecting Derby, Beeston, Chilwell, Toton and Wollaton with Nottingham city centre.
