You will gain an understanding of counselling theory and will be able to explain the key elements of each and when they might be appropriate. For example: Person-Centred Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Theory, and Psychodynamic Theory.

You will explore ethics and diversity in counselling and learn about yourself and your beliefs, as you develop ideas on how personal development links to counselling.
