Course Introduction
This course is perfect if you’re aged 16-18 and want to improve your GCSE results in order to progress onto A Levels or another Level 3 course.
You can expect to study for your GCSEs in a supportive and friendly learning environment.
You will select a minimum of three GCSEs up to maximum of five GCSE subjects (five GCSEs will only be offered in exceptional cases), which must include English and Maths, if you haven’t already achieved a minimum of grade 4 (grade C) in these subjects. You will receive support and guidance throughout your GCSE study, to ensure you achieve the grades that you want and need.
You’ll study your chosen GCSE subjects over one year so excellent attendance in all subject areas is a must if you’re going to keep up, and ultimately to succeed.

- Biology
- Business
- Chemistry
- Dance
- English
- History
- Maths
- Physics
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Religious Studies
Course Information
GCSE Certificates
You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grades 9-3 including English Language and Maths - one of either English Language or Maths needs to be grade 9-4.
It is beneficial if you have experience of the subjects you have chosen, but this is not essential. A member of staff will discuss your subject choices with you at enrolment and ensure that you have made an informed decision.
We also welcome applications from international and homed educated students aged 16-18, who may not hold current GCSE qualifications. You will be invited to an assessment to determine your suitability to the course.
Assessment is by examinations.
Choose to follow with further study on an A Level programme or another Level 3 vocational course within College. You can also progress onto a Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship.
Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
