Course Introduction

This course is perfect if you want to continue your studies in automotive or you would like to progress onto an apprenticeship.

The automotive industry demands a diverse set of skills, and this course is designed to equip you with a solid foundation, building upon what you already know. Starting with the essentials of health and safety, you'll progress to hands-on experience with wheels, tyres, brakes, and suspension systems, among others. Understanding how to handle these components confidently and learning their individual functions as well as their integration into the vehicle's overall operation. This course will prepare you for a great future in the automotive sector.

You will spend a day in a workshop with highly qualified and experienced technicians and tutors, whilst also studying in a classroom preparing for unit exams. You will also study GCSEs and gain knowledge for life in tutorial sessions during your full programme of study.

Course Information

IMI Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Fitting Principles

Level 2

You must be 16-18 years old with at least a one grade 4 in either GCSE English or GCSE maths, and a minimum grade 3 in the other or have a full level 1 Diploma in Automotive.

Continuous practical assessments, written E-portfolio assessments and online unit exams.

There is the opportunity to progress to our higher Level 2 Maintenance and Repair course, or onto an apprenticeship.
