This innovative and challenging programme will connect you with some of the most highly desired and exciting cars on the road, with a history and heritage that is hard to rival.

The Apprentice Programme is three years in duration with 85% of the time spent working in an Aston Martin dealership alongside a skilled Technician/​Mentor. Apprentices will spend eight weeks of each year attending The Aston Martin Training Facility based at Gaydon in Warwickshire. This will take the form of eight separate weeks of training designed to provide the skills and knowledge that you need in the working environment.

The programme is designed around the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Advanced Apprenticeship and all training is carried out by one of our dedicated Aston Martin Instructors using Aston Martin equipment and vehicles. 

Additionally the programme will include a number of Aston Martin Technical Training courses that will ensure that you develop all the skills needed to become an Aston Martin Technician of the future.

Entry Requirements

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the automotive industry; forward thinking and keen to learn with an interest in personal development and progression. You will be highly professional, hardworking, punctual, and reliable. You will possess excellent communication skills, a ​‘can do’ attitude and have the ability to use your own initiative.

  • Keen interest in cars and the general motor vehicle industry
  • Enjoys practical work. Mechanically minded with meticulous attention to detail

Qualifications required:

5 GCSE’s at grade A* to C including Maths, English, a Science and ICT are essential.

The Application Process

On applying you’ll need to upload your CV and complete an online assessment. You’ll then receive a phone call to discuss your interest in becoming an Aston Martin Dealer Apprentice.

Those applicants who are successful at this stage of the recruitment process will be invited to a practical assessment that will take place at the employing dealership, followed by a face to face interview with the dealer. A decision will be made based on who is deemed to be most suitable person for the position.

The Aston Martin UK Dealer Technician Programme offers a unique training programme developed and delivered at Aston Martin, on Aston Martin products, using Aston Martin tools, equipment, policies and procedures. The programme incorporates specific training modules and Aston Martin Technical courses selected by Aston Martin.

Your salary will be set by the dealership, however the national minimum hourly rates, effective from 1 April 2023, are:

FIRST YEAR (This rate is for apprentices aged 16 – 18 and those aged 19 or over in their first year)

Minimum hourly rate = £6.40

SECOND AND THIRD YEAR

  • Under 18 — Minimum hourly rate = £6.40
  • Aged 18 – 20 — Minimum hourly rate = £8.60
  • Aged 21 and over — Minimum hourly rate = £11.44

No, all this will be paid by your employing UK Aston Martin Dealership.

The off-the-job training will take place at the Aston Martin Training Facility in Gaydon. Your accommodation will be provided at The Walton Hall Hotel, Wellesbourne in Warwickshire. Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel to the Aston Martin Training Facility each day.
