Emtec operates as a strategic partner in the design and delivery of high quality apprenticeship training, on behalf of Nottingham College, but also in collaboration with some of the world’s most well-known and leading automotive brands.

Emtec, as well as delivering Apprenticeship training, acts as a lifelong training partner to the automotive industry, offering continuous professional development to professionals in the sector through accredited training, qualifications and bespoke training packages.

Studying with Emtec would give you access to a wide variety of different facilities located at our Ruddington campus, such as our new hydrogen and electric vehicles and other modern brands such as Aston Martin and Ferrari.

We will work with you to design a bespoke training programme to meet your needs and objectives, utilising our contacts and resources to source accreditation where required. We regularly run bespoke training programmes both at our Emtec centre and overseas for partners including Aston Martin, Ferarri, Hyundai and SsangYong. Our Research and Development specialists provide vital engineering expertise in the design and delivery of our bespoke training offer.

IMI Accreditation was created to help the motor industry keep on top of constant, rapid changes in technology, legislation and working methods, by encouraging and measuring the current competence, knowledge and ability of those working within it.

If you are looking to obtain Reaccreditation we can also provide pre-training to get you up to speed ready for the assessment

We currently offer:

  • IMI Automotive Refrigerant Handling (F-Gas) Accreditation
  • IMI Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement (Level 3)
  • IMI Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Components (Level 4)

Candidates can choose from over 25 recognised qualifications ranging from a Level 1 Award progressing to a Level 2 Certificate and finally completing by achieving a Level 3 Diploma. We cover a range of technical and operational specialisms, from vehicle maintenance to sales and management qualifications.
