Course Introduction

This course is designed to help candidates learn, develop, and practice the skills necessary for employment and/or advancing in the field of bricklaying.

Introduction to bricklaying skills and techniques practical and theories to include:

  • Health and Safety
  • Communications
  • Basic Trowel Skills
  • Basic understanding of the skills required to become a bricklayer.
  • Basic solid wall construction

You will be expected to study English and maths throughout your programme of study.

You will primarily engage in practical sessions although theory sessions will also be included. You will have the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities, such as industry and community-based projects, as well as trips and visits.

You will need GCSE English and Maths at grade 1 or equivalent.

Practical models and multiple choice question papers.

Further bricklaying qualifications.

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
