Course Introduction
This course is designed to help candidates learn, develop, and practice the skills necessary for employment and/or advancing in the field of carpentry and joinery.
Introduction to carpentry and joinery skills and techniques practical and theories to include:
- Health and safety
- Communications
- Basic tool skills
- Basic carpentry joints
- Measuring and cutting
You will be expected to study English and maths throughout your programme of study.
You will primarily engage in practical sessions although theory sessions will also be included. You will have the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities, such as industry and community-based projects, as well as trips and visits.
Course Information
City & Guilds Extended Entry Level Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery.
You will need GCSE English and Maths at grade 1 or equivalent.
Practical models and multiple choice question papers.
Further carpentry and joinery qualifications.
Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
