Course Introduction

This course is perfect if you’re looking for a career in the world of business and want an overview of some of the vast options available. It will equip you with work-related, practical skills to get your foot on the ladder.

You’ll learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

You’ll cover:

  • Enterprise in the business world
  • Finance for business
  • Small business planning
  • Promoting a brand
  • Principles of marketing
  • Introducing project management

You will also study English and maths.

You can expect to develop employability and enterprise skills from experienced, friendly tutors with a wealth of industry experience. You will also gain a broad range of skills needed for the business world. You will do scenario-based external assessments and assignments which include presentations, reports and poster presentations and role play.

Pearson Level 2 First Certificate in Business

Level 2

You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grades 9–3 (A*–D), including English Language and Maths – one of English Language or Maths must be grade 9–4 (A*–C). Functional Skills Level 1 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 3 (D) and Functional Skills Level 2 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (C) or above.

You will do scenario-based external assessments and assignments which include presentations, reports and poster presentations and role play.

Choose to follow with BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Business and a career in the varied business world.

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
