AIM Awards Entry 3 Certificate in Skills for Working in Catering and Hospitality Industries

Entry Level

You will have achieved minimum Entry 2 and be working towards Entry 3/Level 1 for both maths and English. We will invite you to sit an Initial Assessment and will be looking for a result to reflect this.

If your Initial Assessment results are lower than this, you may be suited to a different course, but don't worry as after your Initial Assessment, we'll always clearly explain all your options.

You will carry out work to achieve competence in each component of the course. You will be supported to produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your skills and achievements in each area of the programme.

Choose to follow with further study at Level 1 or our Introduction to the Hospitality Industry Level 1 Diploma at Nottingham College. You could also develop your experience and skills further with employment as a catering assistant or kitchen assistant.

The programme is fully supported and run in small groups. It endeavours to provide a positive and rewarding experience for each learner.

You can read more about how we support our learners here.

As the year progresses you will be taken out of College on visits and activities which may incur a very small cost.

We also run various social clubs that you can join to increase your confidence and enhance your independent living skills outside of normal college times.

All students will have a recognised difficulty and/or disability supported by an EHCP issued by local authority.

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.

If you are aged 19 or over you may still be eligible for funding. Check out our Financial Help pages to find out more!

If you are an EU/EEA or Swiss National, please visit our EU Settled Status scheme page for more information.
